WORLD OF SAND AND GRAVEL
One of Herbert's focal points is industrial photography. Here he worked in an industrial plant for the extraction of raw materials. Herbert also produced a wall calendar for his partners, which won the coveted gregor photo calendar award.

Seamotion is a worldwide longtime project of Herbert Boettcher. On this trip Herbert started in Germany and went to Belgium, France, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, once again Brazil, Morocco, Netherlands, England and back to Hamburg.

In Autumn 2015 Herbert Boettcher realized the second part of his long time project »Sea Worlds«. Again he flew over the wadden sea of Nordfriesland in Germany, what is a part of the UNESCO world natural heritage.

In May 2016, Herbert worked in the air again. He flew with an airplane over the wadden sea again, to continue his long time project Sea Worlds.

SUMMIT VIEWS
In June 2015, Herbert Böttcher toured various Austrian and Swiss Alpine passes. He lived 3 weeks in a compact mobile home on heights between 2300 and 2950 meters - and usually in complete seclusion.

Silent Mountains | Calm Sea is a long time project of the German photographer Herbert Böttcher. Herbert travels to Spain and France several times.
SEA WORLDS
In the summer of 2014, Herbert starts his long time project SEA WORLDS. Here you see the photos of the first project part, what shows the UNESCO World Heritage Site North Frisian Wadden Sea seen from above.
ARCHITECTURE
For more than ten years, Herbert worked intensive with pinhole cameras. Most photos of this series are about the architecture of F. O. Gehry and Zaha M. Hadid.
BRITTANY
In Herbert's projects, using pinhole cameras dominated his work for a long period of time. It shaped his photographic attitude, which means meeting his photographic objects in silence and concentration.
TEN YEARS AFTER
The photographs show a military training area, approx. 10 years after the evacuation of the last inhabitants. On the one hand, the works deal with the destroyed environment but also with its development in ecological niches.
